This does not apply to PlayStation 4 Edition. It is possible to do a one-way save transfer from PS3 to PS4. However, since February 25, 2016, there is no longer a discount on PS4 Edition for owners of PS3 Edition. As of April 15, 2020, it is no longer possible to transfer saves between PS3s, between PS Vitas and from PS3/PS Vita to PS4.[10]

Original Article: Here is v3 of the latest PS3 Hack to hit the PS3 Scene with the recent release of PS3HEN. This exploit for nonCFW console's provides homebrew support and a number of Custom Firmware intangibles for those console that can not install a traditional CFW, with those being lat production PS3 Slim models and all of the SuperSlim Consoles. While this is a tremendous release and breakthrough the information behind PS3HEN has been lacking and has served more questions then answers that could be provided. This is due in the way this was delivered and presented. We paused the reporting this on the frontpage until we were pleased with the documentation. So we took it upon ourselves to get the ball rolling on a newPS3HEN F.A.Q. detailing various aspects and info that will be useful for PS3HEN user's. Also we have started forming the PS3HEN Homebrew & Plugin Compatibility Chart
Version 3.x.x has come with a number of new additions for a better experience. Some of the new changes provide full PS3ISO Support ,As well as full BDISO and DVDISO support has been added, plus new improvements to PS3HEN's stabili
PS34.87 OFW Released, Joonie follows with 4.87 HFW Release & Evilnat provides 4.87 Spoof
The PS3 has seen an official firmware update (4.87) go live today, it appears that the update is nothing more than a maintenance update which is still common for the PS3. As the console has a BluRay player that still needs updates as time goes on. So firmware updates are not a surprise still at this point on the console, What is a surprise (well not really) has been yet another update that has not seen past hacks and tricks patched,
For instance, it did not take our friend developer @Joonie long to create his special Hybrid Firmware which is essentially just an OFW with a few subtle tricks that allows a restore a bug used utilized by various PS3Xploit hacks and tricks and installable on OFW. . While the bug was patched in 4.83 that PS3Xploit utilized (and discovered), Joonie clever trick restored it in 4.84 /4.85 / 4.86 & now 4.87 after Sony's firmware updates. So, the update is more just a small annoyance and an update to the Blu-Ray player.
November is gone, and December is here; which means it's time for another monthly round up of all the PS Vita and PS TV releases we have seen in the month of November. We saw 28 releases this month, which averages out to about 1 a day. Some of these were brand new, and some were updates to previous releases.
Looking at the applications we saw in November, it is safe to say it had been a great month for gamers. Starting the month off we had Northfear's FHeros2 receive an update, which brought major performance enhancements to free Heros of Might and Magic II engine. Speaking of big boosts, fgsfdsgs released an update of PrBoom Plus that greatly increased the software renderer performance, so you can enjoy all your Doom wads even more. GrahpenCt released an update to MARISA Highlow, which uses his latest developer libraries. We saw many fixes and additions to usineur's HODE, which is a rewrite of the Heart of Darkness engine. Rinnegatamante blessed us with 3 updates this month, increasing performance and visuals to the following ports:

PS VITA / PS TV[UPDATE: v1.1] re3-vita (Grand Theft Auto III for PS Vita / PS TV) by @Rinnegatamante / @theflow0
For those of us watching the Vita scene, we have probably noticed developer @Rinnegatamante recently working on bringing a port of Grand Theft Auto III to the PS Vitaand PS TV. If you are like me, then you probably have been watching his Twitch streams showcasing the steady progress he was making, and also reading his latest tweets on Twitter regarding development. At that point you might start thinking, when is this going to get released? Perhaps for Christmas, or maybe on Thanksgiving.. possibly a Halloween treat! Well, the short and sweet answer is that it will not be released in the future.. because Rinnegatamante just stopped by PSX-Place a few moments ago to make his official release thread for re3-vita.
If you own a copy of GTA3 for the PC, then you can now launch it on your PS Vita and PS TV. All you have to do is follow some rather simple instructions to get the necessary files transfer to you console/system, and you will be taken to a land of nostalgia as you play this revolutionary (for it's time) masterpiece of a game.
PS3[UPDATE v3] Barulandia (PS3) - A Painting Game by JMGK
Update v3 Released (likely Final Version Released)Here is some new development on the PS3 with a new project by developer @JMGKcalled Barulandia, It's a painting game that has been ported to the PS3 (for use on CFW or PS3HEN). The project is written in C utilizing the OpenSDK on the PS3 known as PSl1ght, + SDL 1.3. the projects source code is hosted at github (seen here).
This is a great game for that young members of the household picking up a controller and wanting to allow for some creativity. This homebrew is like a virtual coloring book, where you can add objects from some imagines provided already and choose your custom color's and simply point to colorize your pics. Might not be the most enjoyable thing but if you need a spare few moments to keep the young ones occupied while they are exercising some creativity Barulandia might be a great game for your PS3.
PS3FB Neo RL Plus v2.12 - Support Added for TurboGrafX 16 / PC-Engine / SuperGrafx / ColecoVision

PS VITA / PS TVPS Vita Monthly Round Up - October 2020
It is the end of another month, and it is time to round up another batch of PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV releases. Previously, we have been providing our members and readers with mid-month round ups (see: August, September), but we figured why not just put together a list at the end of each month that collects all the great new additions and updates we have seen in the past 30 days. It is a great time to be a part of the Vita scene with it's thriving developer community that continually improves this soon to be 9-year old console.
Before we dive right into the list, let's review some of the highlights we have seen in the month of October 2020. In the last week alone we saw @Rinnegatamante and TheFloW release re3, an open source Grand Theft Auto 3 now fully playable on the Vita and the PS TV, and we also saw the first implemenation of an OpenGL ES 2.0 graphic library for the Vita from Team CBPS. Developer @thehero_ (theheroGAC) continued his effort to help every user get the latest and greatest applications and plugins with his AutoPlugin 2 and
These past couple of months we have seen some major ports make their way to the Vita console. First we saw the reverse engineered source code for Super Mario 64 make it's way onto the Vita and PS TV, and then just last week we saw the same thing happen with Grand Theft Auto 3. With Grand Theft Auto Vice City reportedly being worked on, some of us might be asking what other kind of ports might we see in the future.
Well, we have some great news in the development scene of the Vita. SonicMastr has released Pigs in a Blanket, the first OpenGLGLES 2.0 graphics library for the Vita scene. What that means for the end user is that developers will not only have an easier time bringing there project to the console, but that there will be more tools for them to use as well. A project like this can really open the doors to what is possible on the Vita and PS TV. I would not be surprised to see more and more ports start showing up on the console that are taking advantage of this release.
